Hi there. We are ShootBooth,
a new photobooth company based in Brooklyn, and we’re looking for two interns to help us on a variety of fronts. We`re working hard and having a lot of fun at the moment, and excited to form new alliances. There will be a lot of shared tasks, with one internship oriented towards design + marketing, and the other towards production, testing, and events management. The internship is unpaid, but you`ll be compensated for coming on jobs. Happy to figure out college credit.
We make one-of-a-kind photo-booths that are a lot more handsome than the bus-station varietal and bring them to parties, events, marketing ordeals, etc. The response has been phenomenal.
We are in the midst of big change: we`ve rented a new space and launched a new website, and we`re pitching our business in a number of different directions. Interns will be responsible for helping extend our reach. You`ll be expected to contribute ideas, and have support to try and achieve lift-off with them. Web reachout and contacting events planners will be a part of this, as is researching vendors and materials, and helping test prototypes. You will be a part of the brainstorming. There will be no lame coffee runs.
The right person to join us:
-- will have a good way with words-- written and on the phone.
-- has a full tool belt (metaphorically is fine) and a hearty imagination when it comes to marketing strategies.
-- embraces the web wholeheartedly and knows how to use it well.
-- especially good with web reach-out and has crafty ideas for how to get noticed.
-- is self-motivated, flexible, good-natured.
-- is savvy with a mac.
-- will have some of the following: marketing and branding smarts / photography interest and experience / basic design knowledge / web design know-how / adobe cs experience / love of photobooths / wordpress or css experience / applet or arduino config experience (don`t worry if you have no idea what we mean) / basic construction handiness (are you the son of a carpenter? we love you already)
*AND*
-- will have some kind of work to share with us. Please include something with your reply; your blog, a recent project, something you wrote or worked on or designed. It’ll help us get a sense of how you think.
The position is unpaid, but transportation and lunch will be covered, and there will be pay for helping us on jobs. A motivated person could get phenomenal experience from this, and will earn our eternal thank-yous, letters of recommendation, and as we grow, the chance to be a regular booth operator.
We`re thinking: 1-2 days each week. We will figure out a schedule that works for us both.
